In times of crisis, meals aren’t just nourishment — they’re reassurance. During the COVID-19 lockdown, Sevak Education and Charitable Trust operated daily meal drives for 55 consecutive days, distributing over 3 lakh food packets to families, individuals, and patients left without access to essentials.
What began as a small community kitchen quickly evolved into a coordinated relief program. Volunteers worked day and night — cooking, packing, and delivering meals. The beneficiaries included migrant workers, hospital-attached patients, slum dwellers, and stranded elderly who had no access to groceries or income
What made this effort effective was its immediacy. No delays, no waiting lines, no conditions. Just timely help, delivered where it mattered. In the middle of a global shutdown, food became a message — that someone out there still cared.
3,00,000+ meals distributed across 55 days
Targeted slum areas, hospitals, and isolated neighborhoods
Delivered by verified teams following health protocols
Relief is most powerful when it arrives on time. Sevak’s COVID food drive wasn’t just about quantity — it was about precision and consistency. The meals restored not just strength, but a belief that community still exists in crisis. And that’s something no lockdown could shut down.
